Coimbatore: The 30th Graduation ceremony of Coimbatore Government Arts College was held on Saturday. A total of 1603 undergraduate and postgraduate students graduated in the 30th graduation ceremony held at Government College of Arts, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore Government College of Arts was established in 1852 by the British Government. This college is one of the best government institutes in Tamil Nadu. Having delivered a large network of alumni across the globe, most of them serving as top politicians, high-level officials, administrators and defence personnel.
Accordingly, 1196 undergraduate students of the batch 2016 -19 and 2017 -20 received their graduation certificates on the occasion of the 30th Graduation Ceremony. Similarly, 407 postgraduate students of batches 2017-19 and 2018 -20 received their certificates.
The professors and the principal of the college felicitated 1603 students as undergraduates and masters.
Chief Guest Dr C.V. Deepaa, Joint Director (P&D), Department of Collegiate Education presented the candidates with their certificates. While addressing the students, she highlighted the Chief Minister's Research Fellowship program initiative to transform Tamil Nadu as the Research Hub in the country. "This is a crucial period for each of you to sprint towards a career for which you need to have an aim and make use of the opportunities you seek. Use the knowledge gained in a productive tone to build a proficient future."
