TNAU hosts national-level technical symposium 'AgriTech Manifest ’22' at its Coimbatore campus

Over 250 experts in the field of engineering including research scholars, faculty scientists, entrepreneurs, industrialists, students and farmers participated in the event which provided a forum for participants to exchange ideas and hold fruitful discussions in the context of ensuring development in how agriculture is perceived and handled, thereby making a breakthrough in agricultural engineering research.


Coimbatore: An inaugural function of 'AgriTech Manifest ’22', a national-level technical symposium on "Build Back Wiser-Engineer the Future Agriculture" was held by the Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in its campus in Coimbatore on Thursday.

Over 250 experts in the field of engineering including research scholars, faculty scientists, entrepreneurs, industrialists, students and farmers participated in the event.

The event provided a forum for participants to exchange ideas and hold fruitful discussions in the context of ensuring development in how agriculture is perceived and handled, thereby making a breakthrough in agricultural engineering research. The symposium covered four thematic areas - Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Food Process Engineering, and Renewable Energy Engineering. Around 200 research papers have been received for presentation in the symposium in both online and offline streams.



TNAU Vice Chancellor, Dr. V Geethalakshmi delivered the Presidential address and Dr. A Raviraj, Dean (Engg.) delivered the felicitation address. The event was honoured by E Rajagopal, CEO and Co-founder of M/S LEGGO Mobility Pvt.Ltd., Chennai. He inspired students gathered at the symposium by sharing his professional experience and also shared about his vision on “Zero Emission Zero Cancellation -2030.”

The souvenir of the symposium was released by the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Guest. The Student Organizing Secretary, Ms. M Devidharshini offered the welcome address during the inaugural session, while the Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Student Organizing Secretary, A Bharath. The event was planned under the supervision of Dr. Balaji Kannan, Organizing Secretary, Agritech Manifest ’22, and students of B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) in successful manner.
