Pandya Rajasekharan has been appointed as the new DEO for Secondary Education for Coimbatore district. Murugesan has also been appointed as the DEO of private schools.
Coimbatore: Five district education officers, including two primary and secondary education, have been appointed for Coimbatore district.
Some of the changes were made recently to correct the slowdown in administrative work in the school education department and to distribute the powers that accumulate in the same post.
Accordingly, 152 offices of 55 District Officers of Secondary Education, 58 District Officers for Elementary Education and Educational Officers for Private Schools have been opened.
Coimbatore district has been allotted two primary education offices at Coimbatore and Pollachi. Valliammai, who had earlier served as the City District Education Officer (DEO) in Coimbatore, has been appointed as the Primary Education Officer of Pollachi.
Punitha Anthonyammal has been transferred as the District Elementary Education Officer of Coimbatore. He had served as coonoor DEO. DEO for Secondary Education for Coimbatore District Vaaga Pandia Rajasekharan has been appointed. He served as the Education Officer of Coimbatore Corporation.
Geetha has taken charge as the Secondary DEO of Pollachi. He had served as the DEO of Vedasandur in Dindigul district. and
It is to be noted that they have already worked in Coimbatore district.
Murugesan has also been appointed as the DEO of private schools. It is to be noted that he has served as the headmaster of Kalapatti Government Higher Secondary School and has taken over as DEO through promotion.
