Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Library is all set to celebrate National Librarians Day on 12th August 2022 (Friday) in memory of 130th birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan.
Coimbatore: The National Librarians day is observed on 12th August every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Padmashri Dr. S.R. Ranganathan who is considered as a Father of library science in India.

Dr.Roby Mathew, Regional Manager from CABI, Ravishankar, Senior training consultant from Informatics, Bengaluru will be the guest of honour for the day and honour former librarians.Whilr, R. Murali, Head of Programmes from All India Radio / Doordarshanwill deliver chair the valedictory event to be held in the evening session.
Students who won in various competitions held as part of the day will be presented with certificates.
