Coimbatore: The first-year UG students of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC) were briefed about Health and Hygiene and Legal Rights and their implications during the Student Induction Program (SIP) held recently in Coimbatore.
Dr. Kavitha Rajkumar, Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fertility Specialist, Coimbatore Kidney Centre & Specialty Hospital, Coimbatore spoke about Health and Hygiene. P Mahesh Kumar, Founder and Chief Advocate, Wallcliffs Law Firm, Coimbatore spoke on Legal Rights and its Implications.
Dr. Kavitha Rajkumar said, "Healthy foods will prevent the risk of many diseases and hence eat food at the right time. Consuming foods especially vegetables, root vegetables, fruit juices, carbs and protein-rich foods, milk, nuts, ragi etc., are highly recommended. Girls also need to take good care about personal hygiene."
During his speech, P Mahesh Kumar said, "Laws have been framed to maintain social control, order, justice, regulations, welfare and development. Every individual has rights and privileges. As a citizen, one should know about his/her rights, respect the dignity of others, and should also stop the violation of human rights in society. Students need to use social media with a cautious approach and be careful of what they share on those platforms."
K Adithya, Trustee, Sri Krishna Institutions presided over the program. K Sundararaman, CEO, R Vijayasamundeshwari, Vice-Principal, Deans of the College, faculties and students were present at the event.
