Muthamizh Vizha 2022 is being celebrated on 6th and 7th of May at Horticultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Periyakulam. On the first day of celebration, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, the Chief Guest inaugurated the Muthamizh Vizha by lighting the inaugural lamp.

On the first day of celebration, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, the Chief Guest inaugurated the Muthamizh Vizha by lighting the inaugural lamp.
The Vice Chancellor well appreciated the students exhibitson Tamil culture and tradition, prepared and exhibited by the students using flowers and spices. In Chief Guest address she expressed her views on students talents and their participation in conduct of such programmes.
The Dean Horticultural College, Dr. T. Arumugam delivered his presidential address. Kavitha Jawahar, Tamil Pattimandram Popular Orator delivered her special speech on "Amuthum Thamizhum". Tamil poet and Film song writer Arivumathi felicitated the students and encouraged poem writing.
The whole programme was well organized by the Staff Advisor Dr. P. Geetharani. Students Club Secretary A. Venkatesh Prasath and Joint Club Secretary A.M Juno of Final Year.
During this occasion, the Vice Chancellor inaugurated the newly developed Post Harvest Technology Laboratory.
