Coimbatore: The Karpagam Academy of Higher Education organised an awareness program under the "75 Students Satellite Mission" at the academy’s Management Hall on Saturday, 19th February, as part of the 75th Independence Celebration.
The Government of India plans to launch 75 satellites developed by the school, college, and university students by August 2022 under the "75-Student Satellite Mission", observing 75 years of Indian Independence was organised on Friday. The Karpagam Academy of Higher Education conducted an awareness program under "75 Students Satellite Mission" on Friday, 18th February, at 3.30 pm at the Management Hall Institute.

Former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University Padmashri, RM Vasagam, Dr. S. Gopalakrishnan, Former Director, Apple Satellite Project, Dr. Sethu Sudalaimuthu, Vice-Chancellor, Karpagam Higher Education Institute, Dr. Rasa Vasanthakumar, Principal Secretary, Karpagam Institute of Education, R Murugayya, and Dr. M. Palaniswami, Registrar, were present.
This awareness program was a demonstration of satellite processes on the activities of the Indian Space Research Organisation to promote the creativity of the students and encourage students studying space, electrical, and electronics courses to make India a leader in space in the world.
As a highlight of the event, The Karpagam Institute of Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Project Director of the Indian Technical Congress Association to launch the satellite "Karpagamsat" by the students and teachers of The Karpagam Institute of Education.
The awareness program was attended by the students and professors of the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education.
The University of Karpagam has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as the first of the 160 colleges in India. A 1500-gram satellite made by college students and professors will be launched on August 15.
