The KCT College in Coimbatore organized an induction program welcoming the first year students through a virtual platform and also honoured the alumnus later in the event.
Coimbatore: The Kumaraguru College of Technology hosted Swagatham 2021 on Friday, the induction program welcoming the new batch of students for academic year 2021-25.
Induction programme for the first year B.E/B.Tech. students of Batch 2021-25 was conducted virtually. The induction programme was aired live on KCT YouTube channel from the Ramanandha Adigalar Auditorium at the campus.

Dr. B.K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman, Kumaraguru Institutions, in his Presidential Address emphasized on the significance of remaining self-motivated with a unilateral focus to realise the dreams and aspirations of the young learners. Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, Kumaraguru Institutions, in his special address highlighted that the youth are the transformative force to reckon with across the globe and be inspirational to scale great heights.
He further emphasized on the difference between the school education and college education, the new beginning, mutual respect, fitness and the need to maintain an active and healthy mind. Dr. Saravanan D, Principal, KCT and Dr. Joseph.V. Thanikal, Director, KCT B-School offered their felicitations. HoDs and faculty members were present. Final year students debriefed the first year students about the 7-day IGNITE boot camp.
In the afternoon, Kumaraguru College of Technology organised a felicitation ceremony in honour of KCT alumnus of Mech Engineering Batch 2014 Shriyash S who cleared UPSC Civil Service Exam 2021. Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, Kumaraguru Institutions presided over the session and in his address stated that Shriyash is an inspiration to hundreds of civil service aspirants in Kumaraguru Institutions and beyond. He applauded that his achievement in UPSC Exam showcases his perseverance and unilateral focus towards his goal.
