It's day 18, the duo, Meenakshi and Mookambika sucessfully made it to the China border.
Starting their morning at the Thai immigration CHIANG KHONG border control, the team traveled through some picturesque locations and reached the China border this evening.
The team shares that, 'We were the first to arrive at the border and the officer was very happy to see us! He was in good spirits maybe because it's Songkran festival. Both clearing the Customs and the border was a breeze.
Crossing the Mekong river, we felt very victorious! Laos side Immigration & Customs was simple as well !
Though the roads in Laos were not that great, it was windy and very picturesque! Stunning vistas and a spectacular drive. We stopped by a little hamlet and met the people of the village especially women and kids and briefed them on the importance of literacy.
Simple procedures at the Laos exit again ! Nice courteous officers',
