After relishing a refreshing break in Assam, Guwahati the XPD 2470 team is now heading towards Imphal, the state capital of Manipur. A small change of routine today, the team started their journey very early this morning at 4 am, as a real long stretch of 489 kms awaits the team.
The team shares that the entire stretch of Guwahati was lit with colorful lights as the city is all set to celebrate the famous Namami Brahmaputra river festival a five-day long traditional festival of Guwahati. It's definitely a promising day, as the journey from Guwahati from Imphal could take a solid 10 hours of time and presently raining.
A news source shares that 'Manipur's capital Imphal received the highest rainfall in March in 19 years, at 97.6 mm, breaking all time record of 72.9 mm on March 24, 1998. The heavy rains in the state will continue for the next two days accompanied by strong winds and hailstorm. Road transport has also been stopped at several points'.
