To mark the 50th anniversary of women joining the police force as constables, various competitions and programmes are being conducted for women constables in Coimbatore city.
As per the instructions of Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, various programmes and competitions are being conducted.
Following this, handball and kabaddi competitions for city women constables were held today.
The team of Thunder Women led by Inspector Deivamani and Fire, led by Inspector Daulat Nisha, clashed. It was inaugurated by City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan. The competitions were held under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Armed Forces Sekhar.
Several police personnel, including City Police Headquarters Commissioner Suhasini, participated in the event and enjoyed the game.
