Coimbatore: National level car race at Coimbatore Chettipalayam after a long wait. After a long hiatus at Coimbatore Chettipalayam, a national level car race is being held following Coronavirus safety rules.

The national level race at the Coimbatore Chettipalayam Kari Motor Race Course is being held in 15 categories from today.

In this, 40 car racers from 8 teams from different states in India are participating. The final round of the JK Tyre (JK Tyre FMSCI) National Car Racing Championship is set to take place next January for the players who can win each round in a five-round event.

The winner in this competition will represent India in the next Asian level car race. Match organizers said the race is being held in Coimbatore today after a long hiatus due to Coronavirus. It is to be noted that these matches are being held without spectators following security measures.
