Coimbatore: Pollachi Football Team won the first prize in the State Level Football Tournament. AIADMK Pollachi IT Division and Pollachi Football Association jointly organized a state level football tournament in Pollachi on the 3rd to mark the fourth anniversary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

AIADMK Pollachi IT Division and Pollachi Football Association jointly organized a state level football tournament in Pollachi on the 3rd to mark the fourth anniversary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. 32 teams from various districts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai and Nagercoil participated.
Chennai JPR College and Pollachi Football Club qualified for the finals of the knockout stage. The final match was held yesterday. Pollachi Football Club beat Chennai 1-0 in a thrilling match. Pollachi Football Club won the first prize of Rs 15,000 in cash and trophy and JPR College, Chennai won the second prize of Rs 10,000 and trophies. Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman attended the event and presented prizes and trophies to the winning teams.
