The 89th Tamil Nadu Open State Senior Athletic Championship was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai on June 4-5-2016. A second year B.Sc (Agri) student S.Shibani from TNAU , Coimbatore had participated in the High Jump event for women and won the Silver medal by clearing a height of 1.63 M.
She has now entered into senior Category from the junior category for the first time. She has also been qualified for this year National Athletic Championship. She is also gold medal winner of Junior State Athletic Championship for the past 3 years consecutively.
