The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and South Central Railway (SCR) clinched championships in the All India Basketball tournament in the men's and women's category respectively.
While ONGC defeated the Income Tax department team by 78-55, SCR defeated the KSEB (kerala) by 51-48. The men's team were handed over the Natchimuthu Gounder trophy and Rs. 1 lakh cash, while the women were handed over the CRI Pumps trophy and Rs. 50,000 cash.
The runners were given the N. Mahalingam trophy (men's category) and Rs. 50,000 and a rolling cup (women's section) and Rs. 25,000 cash.
