Trend in favour of PMK, claims its Chief Ministerial candidate

Reiterating its stand on going it alone in the upcoming Assembly elections, PMK Chief Ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss today said the announcement of Vijayakanth-led DMDK to contest alone has turned the trend towards his Party.

The decision of DMDK has put an end to the confusion prevailing among the political parties, who were eyeing it for the last three months, Anbumani told reporters here.

However, he said that Vijayakanth’s decision could not be taken as final, as he, after announcing that he would enter into an alliance with one Party, allied with some others during the last two elections.

PMK had already made it clear that it would go it alone in the elections and would not go behind any political parties for alliance, since the Party had confidence that the people would decide in its favour, Anbumani said.

Stating that both the ruling AIADMK and DMK had already lost the confidence of the people, he said that DMK was a sinking ship, which was pushed to the third place in the 2011 Assembly and 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

The Party was preparing a list of those officials, who were supporting and colliding with the ruling party for submitting it to the Chief Election Commission in Delhi soon, Anbumani said.
