District Administration removes 1376 political banners

With the Election code of conduct coming into effect the district administration has started removing posters and banners of political parties and on Sunday as much as 1376 such banners have been removed in the district here.

According to a release, 110 wall writings, 740 posters and 535 banners have been removed by the administration on Sunday.

Out of the 1376 banners which were removed, district police have also registered an FIR in a case of poll violation instance.

Meanwhile, special units have been deployed 24/7 in many areas in the district to monitor illegal political hoardings during the election times.
