City hospital receives two awards

Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH), received two awards this year- Green Hospital Award 2016 and Best Hospital Awards 2016, the former awarded by Association of Healthcare Providers (India) AHPI, and the latter by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Government of Tamil Nadu.

While addressing the media Chairman, KMCH, Dr Nalla G Palaniswami mentioned that the AHPI audit team visited the hospital in January this year for an inspection and based on a few parameters this award was conferred to the hospital. “At KMCH there is optimum usage of water and energy. We also use only non-toxic, non-hazardous cleaning agents. We ensure that we manage waste effectively. Also all our wards and Intensive Care Unit (ICUs) are well ventilated.’’Nalla G Palaniswami said.
