DMK promises Metro Rail Service for Coimbatore, if voted to power

Criticizing the AIADMK government for failing to implement the Mono Rail in the city, the DMK treasurer, M.K. Stalin today promised to bring Metro Rail to Coimbatore, if his party comes to power. Also on the list is a high-tech medical research centre.

During his poll campaign in Coimbatore, Stalin said that the AIADMK had failed to fulfill its electoral promises made in 2011, including the mono rail. He also said that the current government failed to bring in new investments in the industrial belt of Coimbatore, especially with the Chief Minister regularly visiting the neighbouring Kodanadu for vacations.

The DMK has also promised to convert the Pollachi-Palani route into a four lane road, to set up storm water drains, community halls and develop parks all over the constituencies.
