Each constituency in Coimbatore district to have one all-woman poll booth

The election officials have identified 10 polling stations in as many assembly constituencies where only women polling officials, police and booth agents will be deployed to facilitate voting.

Likewise, the officials have also identified four polling stations in each constituency as model polling stations where several facilities will be provided.

The district administration had conducted a meeting with all political outfits last month and decided to set up one women polling station in each assembly constituency. The district election officials confirmed the ten polling stations on Friday.

The election officials identified 40 model polling stations in the ten assembly constituencies. These model polling stations will provide all facilities to voters.
