Man Falls from Second Floor While Talking to Wife on Phone in Coimbatore, Dies

A 33-year-old JCB operator from Pudukkottai died after accidentally falling from the second floor while talking to his wife on the phone in Coimbatore's Vadavalli area on March 24. Police have registered a case.


Coimbatore: A tragic incident occurred in the Vadavalli area of Coimbatore when a young man accidentally fell from the second floor of a building while conversing with his wife over the phone, resulting in his death.




The deceased has been identified as Vivek (33), a native of Thiruvenkavasalai in Pudukkottai district. He had been residing in the Vadavalli area of Coimbatore and was working as a JCB operator.




On the day of the incident, Vivek was talking to his wife Sivaranjani on his mobile phone. While engrossed in the conversation, he began walking towards the upper floor of the building. In an unexpected turn of events, he accidentally slipped and fell from the second floor.




Neighbors who witnessed the fall immediately rushed to his aid and rescued him. He was quickly transported to Coimbatore Government Hospital for emergency treatment. Despite the medical team's efforts, the treatment proved unsuccessful, and Vivek tragically succumbed to his injuries on March 24.




The Vadavalli police have registered a case regarding the incident and are conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances that led to the fatal fall. The accidental death has left his family and friends in deep shock and mourning.
