In Coimbatore, two men were arrested for robbing a pedestrian, Senthil Krishnan, by threatening him with a beer bottle on Mahatma Gandhi Road on June 28.
Coimbatore: In a distressing incident near Kovai Pudur, two individuals were arrested for threatening and then robbing a pedestrian using a beer bottle. The victim, Senthil Krishnan, aged 42, from Kuniyamuthur P K Pudur, was walking on Mahatma Gandhi Road when he was accosted by two men demanding money for alcohol.
Upon his refusal, they threatened to physically assault him with the beer bottle and forcefully took Rs. 400 from him. Following a complaint filed by Krishnan, Kuniyamuthur Police registered a case, leading to the arrest of Nisharudeen, 27, from Sugunapuram Milestone Area, and Nawaz, 29, from Saravanampatti Karumbukadai, both charged with the robbery.
