Tirupur Police Debunks Rumors About Illicit Liquor Consumption in Udumalai Forest Area

Tirupur District Police clarified that the news about five individuals consuming illicit alcohol in the Mavadappu Settlement of Udumalai forest area is false and merely a rumor.


Coimbatore: In a piece of news that had circulated earlier today, it was reported in Dinamalar's Facebook page that five individuals had fallen ill after consuming illicit liquor at the Mavadappu Settlement in the Udumalai forest area of Tirupur district. However, the Tirupur District Police have officially declared this information to be completely false.

According to the police, there have been no such incidents in the area, and they urged the public to refrain from spreading such baseless rumors that can create unnecessary panic among the community.
