Texfair Exhibition Kicks Off at Codissia Complex, Coimbatore

The 14th edition of the Texfair exhibition, showcasing textile machinery, spare parts, and accessories, has commenced at Codissia Complex in Coimbatore, inaugurated by MP Ganapathy Rajkumar.


Coimbatore: In a significant event for the textile industry, the Codissia Complex in Coimbatore is hosting the 14th edition of the Texfair exhibition, a renowned international fair displaying textile machinery, spare parts, and accessories. The event was inaugurated today by MP Ganapathy Rajkumar, who cut the ribbon to mark the commencement of the exhibition.




The exhibition, organized by the South India Mills Association (SIMA), will run from today, June 21, till June 24 and is expected to operate daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. The start drew a large turnout with approximately 10,000 visitors on the first day, highlighting the event's significance in the textile sector.




Texfair 2023 serves as a vital platform for trade and innovation, with around 260 stalls set up by 240 manufacturers and distributors of textile machinery and components. The event is spread out to welcome international exhibitors from Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, and several Indian states including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.




Highlighting the objective to promote domestically produced at competitive prices, the exhibition is placed as a catalyst to reduce dependency on imported machinery and parts. Entry to the Texfair event is free, aiming to encourage maximum participation and engagement from industry stakeholders.
