GKNM Hospital Launches Advanced 4th Generation Robotic Surgical System in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: GKNM Hospital, a premier super-specialty medical institution in Coimbatore, has launched a cutting-edge operation theatre equipped with the latest 4th generation Da Vinci Robotic Surgical system.



This significant advancement is set to transform the quality of surgical care in the region by integrating state-of-the-art robotic technology.



The newly introduced Da Vinci Robotic Surgical Unit specializes in complex procedures related to cancer, urology, and minimally invasive cardiac surgeries. It is celebrated for enhancing surgical accuracy and reducing risks associated with traditional surgical methods.



Robotic-assisted surgery, facilitated by this innovative technology, offers surgeons enhanced dexterity and superior visualization, significantly increasing the success rate of complex surgeries. The inauguration of this advanced surgical suite was presided over by Sivaguru Prabakaran, IAS, Commissioner of the Coimbatore Corporation, on June 21st, 2024.
