Copra Auction at Anamalai Regulated Market Generates Rs. 9.562 Lakhs

Anamalai Regulated Market held its regular copra auction on Tuesdays and Thursdays, garnering a total of Rs. 9.562 lakhs on May 16.


Coimbatore: The Anamalai Regulated Market conducted its customary copra auction this past Tuesday. The auction, which typically takes place twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, witnessed considerable activity.

During the event, first-grade copra was auctioned at prices ranging from Rs.89.06 to Rs.93.16 per kilogram, while second-grade copra fetched prices between Rs.40 and Rs.80.68 per kilogram. In total, 225 sacks of copra were sold, accumulating a substantial sum of Rs. 9.562 lakhs.

Market supervisor Senthilmurugan reported the total earnings and highlighted the continued interest in copra trading at the Anamalai Market, which is known for its stringent quality checks and regular sales schedule.
