DMK candidate K. Eswarasamy visited Odayakulam in Anaimalai West Union, Coimbatore, to console farmers affected by a severe wind causing extensive damage to thousands of banana plants on May 11, 2024.
Coimbatore: In a compassionate outreach, K. Eswarasamy, the DMK candidate for Pollachi Parliamentary constituency, visited the storm-affected regions of Odayakulam in Anaimalai West Union, Coimbatore, on May 12, 2024. Following a severe windstorm on May 11, numerous banana plantations suffered significant losses, affecting the livelihood of local farmers.
During his visit, Eswarasamy interacted with the affected farmers including Sakthivel, Kuganandhu, Ravi, and Sathiyamoorthy, offering words of comfort and assessing the extent of the damage. Accompanied by Anaimalai West Union Secretary O.V.S. Senathipathi, Committee Member M. Amuthabharathi, and other party officials, the DMK candidate ensured that the concerns of the farmers were heard and discussed potential relief measures.
