Coimbatore Tipper Truck Owners Submit Grievance to District Collector

On May 9, approximately 20 members of the Coimbatore Tipper Truck Owners and Traders Association submitted a complaint to the District Collector's office, urging a ban on transporting construction materials by tractors, claiming it affects their livelihood.

Coimbatore: Today, a group of around 20 members from the Coimbatore Tipper Truck Owners and Traders Association lodged a formal petition at the District Collector's office led by Kranthi Kumar Pati. The complaint specifically requests the prohibition of transport of construction materials using tractors, which they argue is detrimental to their economic interests. The petitioners highlighted how their livelihoods are being negatively affected, as tractors are appropriating the work typically handled by tipper trucks, leading to significant income loss. The association is seeking immediate intervention from the district administration to address this issue and protect their customary business operations.
