The incident occurred last Thursday when the customer, after paying Rs. 150 for the brandy, noticed the foreign objects upon inspecting the contents.
He immediately showed the contaminated bottle to the salesperson, who replaced it with another bottle. When asked about further action, the salesperson assured that the contaminated bottle would be kept aside and returned to the company for investigation.
