Protest in Kavundampalayam Over Missing Votes, BJP Demands Re-Voting

In Coimbatore's Kavundampalayam region, BJP staged a protest demanding re-voting after discovering 830 votes missing from polling booth 214 at Angappa School.

Coimbatore: A significant protest erupted in Kavundampalayam, within the Coimbatore Parliamentary constituency, after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reported missing votes.

During recent local elections, polling booth number 214 at Angappa School, which had recorded 1353 votes previously, now showed only 523 votes.

This discovery led BJP members to approach the election officials demanding immediate action.

National Women's Wing leader of BJP, Vanathi Srinivasan, joined the protest and engaged in negotiations with the officials.

After an hour with no action taken, the BJP members sat on the ground in protest. Vanathi Srinivasan reported that all affected individuals had submitted a complaint to the district election officer to conduct a re-vote in this booth.
