The syndicate has agreed to proceed with filings by DVAC against seven persons includes two registrars and a present member of the Syndicate allegedly involved In misconduct in the acquisition of computers at Bharathiar University in 2016.
Coimbatore: The Syndicate of Bharathiar University in Coimbatore has granted approval to file case against seven individuals, including former registrars, involved in the procurement corruption of computers.
The complaint arose in 2016 regarding irregularities in the procurement process. The accusation includes two current registrars, six professors, two members from affiliated colleges under the university, and two former members from self-financing colleges, totaling 12 accused individuals.
Recently, under the leadership of the Higher Education Secretary A. Karthik, a Syndicate meeting approved filing cases against seven individuals, including two current registrars and a Syndicate member. It has been noted that one accused has passed away, and permission has been granted to file cases against four individuals working in colleges under the university.
