Grand Kumbhabhishekam Ceremony at Perur Pateeswarar Vinayagar Temple

Coimbatore: The Perur Pateeswarar Temple, known for its historical significance in Coimbatore, recently celebrated the Kumbhabhishekam of its sub-shrine, the Patteswarar. The festivities began on the 22nd with the Vinayakar Puja, marking the commencement of the sacred ceremony.

The following days witnessed various rituals like Vastu Shanti, Rakshabandhanam, and the first phase of the Yagasala Puja. Subsequent days saw the completion of the second and third phases of the Yagasala Puja.

On the final day, the fourth phase of the Yagasala Puja and the Kudamuzhukku procession were conducted. The main event, the Maha Kumbhabhishekam for Patteswarar, took place today (January 24) between 9:55 AM and 10:55 AM. The ceremony attracted devotees from the surrounding areas, who participated and sought blessings.

Notable attendees included Coimbatore North District Secretary Thondamuthur Ravi, and the head of Perur Township, Annadurai, along with other administrators. Their presence added to the significance of the event, emphasizing community and spiritual unity.
