The Samathuva Pongal festival was celebrated with traditional fervor on January 13, 2024, at a private college in Karamadai, Pettathapuram. Highlighting the event was the traditional Valli Kummi dance, which saw participants of all ages gracefully executing synchronized dance moves, much to the delight of the audience.





The performance drew considerable applause from the college's administrators, students, and faculty, who enjoyed the celebration with great enthusiasm. Additionally, the event attracted locals as well as visitors from outside the region, all of whom gathered to enjoy and appreciate the cultural spectacle.

The Valli Kummi dance, a hallmark of Tamil culture, added a unique charm to the Pongal festivities, reflecting the community's dedication to preserving and celebrating their heritage.
