DMDK Leaders and Members Pay Homage to Late Leader Captain Vijayakanth in Coimbatore

DMDK members in Coimbatore shave heads, perform 11th-day rituals, and offer floral tributes in memory of their late leader Captain Vijayakanth.

In Coimbatore, DMDK leaders and members commemorated the 11th day since the passing of their leader and renowned actor, Captain Vijayakanth. The North Coimbatore district's DMDK secretary Sanmugavadivel led the tribute at Mettupalayam. Eleven party officials shaved their heads and bathed in the Bhavani River as part of the ritual.

Following this, a memorial service was held at the Narasimhanaickenpalayam party office, where Captain Vijayakanth’s portrait was adorned and honored with garlands and flowers. A silence tribute and homage were also paid. Then, Annadhanam (food offering) was served to the public.









At Periyanayakanpalayam East Union's Ashokapuram Panchayat, four-way junction, a similar tribute was organized by East Union Secretary P. Sakkaiah. DMDK administrators, volunteers, and leaders from various parties, including Panchayat President Ramesh, Deputy President Shanmugasundaram, BJP Union Leader Bhuvaneshkumar, and others, paid their floral tributes.

This event saw a significant turnout of public, DMDK members, and representatives from various political organizations, all gathering to honor the late Captain Vijayakanth.
