Alandurai Kamakshi Amman Temple Festival - Celebration with a sparkling Fireworks

The 96th anniversary of the Alandurai Kamakshi Amman Temple in Coimbatore was celebrated in a grand manner. During the ceremony, the women devotees pierced the bird beak and offered obeisance to the Goddess.



Coimbatore: Arulmigu Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple is situated in Coimbatore on Siruvani Road in Alanthurai.

The 96th annual celebration was held in magnificent style at this temple, which belongs to the 24 Manai Telugu Chettiars group.

The 24 Manai Telugu Chettiar community celebrated the event in magnificent style, with fireworks and drum beats.



A big number of devotees from the area attended the occasion and offered obeisance to the Goddess.

During the temple festival, which began with the hoisting of the national flag on The 25th of last month, special Poojas were performed every day and Goddess Kamakshi graced the devotees.



Gomari pooja was performed and amman procession was taken out at night by taking sakthi karagam. This was followed by an important event of offering obeisance to the Goddess.



Special decorations were made for Goddess Kamakshi and in the evening, 501 devotees took it with flowers. In addition, devotees offered prayers such as beak piercing, nailslippers, milk pots etc. in the bird vehicle.



This was followed by a large number of people watching the colourful fireworks show. This will be followed by maavilakku pooja, mulaipari and the final ceremony of yellow waterceremony will be held.
