Maize auctioned for Rs 4.5 lakh at Alangiyam regulated market

A large number of farmers from Tirupur and Dindigul districts have brought 22,344 kg of maize for sale.


Tirupur: Maize was sold through an indirect auction for Rs 4.5 lakh at the Alangiyam regulated market near Dharapuram in Tirupur district leaving the farmers happy.

A large number of farmers from Tirupur and Dindigul districts had brought 22,344 kg of maize for sale.

Traders from Tiruppur and Dindigul districts have come to participate in the indirect auction conducted. Maize was sold for a maximum of Rs 2,056 and a minimum of Rs 2,007.

Accordingly, maize was sold for a total of Rs 4,54,028. The arrangements for the auction were made by supervisor P Arulkumar.
