Tamil Nadu Food Minister R. Chakarapani inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Millet Conclave 2023 in which the display of 555 dishes using millets was recognized as a world record.
Coimbatore: Food Minister R. Chakarapani inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Millet Conclave 2023 which commenced at Nirmala College for women at Sungam.
About 100 stalls were set up at the conclave in which an exhibition on millet-based foods and books on the medicinal properties of various millets including pearl millet, finger millet, and Sorghum were exhibited.
As a special feature for the record books, about 555 varieties of millet dishes were prepared using 7 millets and a food exhibition was also inaugurated.
The preparation of 555 dishes using millet has been declared a world record and certificates for the same were issued on the occasion.
District Collector Sameeran, Corporation Commissioner Prathap, Siddha Doctor Sivaraman participated in the seminar held at the College Auditorium.
