COVID crisis in Tamil Nadu: 2 women died of Infection in Coimbatore Government Hospital

Today, Coimbatore Government Hospital sadly reported that as many as 2 women have died due to COVID-19 infection. Tamil Nadu and its surrounding states have been witnessing an alarming rise in daily cases of coronavirus since last month. This is a concerning sign for the health and safety of citizens in the region.


Coimbatore: Today, two women died of covid infection at the Coimbatore Government Hospital.

Since the preceding month, there has been an increase in the number of daily reports of corona cases in Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states.

In the recent 12 months, Tamil Nadu has not recorded an covid fatalities, but three cases have been reported in Coimbatore in the last few days. This has heightened public anxiety.

A death has previously been documented in the city as a result of comorbidity.

A 56-year-old woman from Vadavalli, Coimbatore, suffered a fever and tested positive for covid infection in this case. She was then admitted to Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment on the 30th of last month and was under the care of doctors in intensive care.

He died this morning, according to reports. Similarly, on March 23rd, a 60-year-old woman from Pattarpalayam in Tirupur district was infected with Covid-19 and was brought to Coimbatore Government Hospital.

She was also admitted to the intensive care unit. However, she died this morning as well.

The death of two ladies from corona infection in a government hospital in Coimbatore today has sparked widespread concern.

According to a report provided by the Directorate of Public Health and Prevention Medicine on March 7th, Coimbatore has a total of 108 cases.

As of yesterday, 22 additional cases had been reported in the previous 24 hours. With 497 cases, Chennai tops the list.

Tamil Nadu reported 1530 infections, an increase of 164 cases from the previous day.
