Public health workers have announced at a consultative meeting in Pollachi that a sit in protest will be held in Chennai on June 8th if work is not provided as announced by CM MK Stalin.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Administrators Consultative Meeting of the Tamil Nadu Public Health Workers Association was held in Pollachi today.

The meeting was chaired by the state organizing secretary of the association Rathinasamy and was attended by a large number of executives from various parts of the state including Coimbatore and Pollachi.
Struggles have been going on for years to get back the jobs of public welfare workers who were sacked during the last AIADMK regime. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu announced in the last assembly session that the public welfare workers will be given jobs again after the present DMK government takes over. It has been two months since the Chief Minister announced, but the job has not been offered yet. Public health workers are dying due to old age.

Therefore, the public health workers should be given order to work on June 3, the birthday of former Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi. If not, the state organizing secretary of the People's Welfare Workers' Union, Rathinasamy, has said that a sit in protest will be held on June 8, 2022 to mobilize public health workers across Tamil Nadu to work in Chennai.
