Covid Care Centres and Triage Centres are actively working on stemming the Covid-19 and omicron spread in the city. However, report of 36 cases in a single day on Friday, has risen fears. These 36 persons have been admitted to the Marriage Hall in Srinivasapuram that is functioning as a Covid Care Centre in Coimbatore.

More than 300 people were diagnosed with corona infection in the city on Thursday.
Accordingly, 300 beds, including oxygen beds have been set up in CODISSIA complex. In addition, 50 beds have been established at the Kalyana Mandapam in Srinivasapuram, Ramanathapuram, Government Technical College, Government Arts College, Varadarajapuram Community Hall and Saravanampatti Community Hall, in important parts of Coimbatore.
