Headmaster of private school near Annur infected by Covid-19; School to be closed for 2 days

The Headmaster of a private high school in Allikaranpalayam, Otteripalayam Panchayat near Annur tested positive for Covid-19 after which the school was declared closed for two days.


Coimbatore: The school headmaster of a private high school in Allikaranpalayam, Otteripalayam Panchayat near Annur was found to be infected with Covid-19.

The school which reopened for Classes 9-12 on September 1 in line with the Tamil Nadu Government's order has now been closed for tow days.

It is reported that the 50-year old school headmaster had suddenly developed a cold and hence underwent a Coronavirus test. On Tuesday night, the results confirmed that the Principal had contracted Covid-19 infection. The school is being sanitized and sprayed with disinfectant as a safety measure and teachers who worked with the headmaster are also undergoing Covid-19 tests.
