Covid-19 impact continues to decline in Tamil Nadu: Health Department
Coimbatore: In the last 24 hours in Tamil Nadu, 15,108 people including 15,105 from Tamil Nadu and three other states have tested positive for Covid-19.
While 374 people have sucuumbed to the virus, 27,463 people have recovered. The reassuring report is that Covid-19 cases have declined in Tamil Nadu for the past 22 days, while in Chennai the decline has been seen for the past 31 days.
The Department of Health has reported that 1,82,878 samples were tested in Tamil Nadu on Sunday alone and of those, 15,108 were confirmed to be infected. As a result, the number of cases affected by Covid-19 has increased to 23,39,705. On Sunday, 8,342 men and 6,766 women tested positive. As a result, the number of men and women affected by Covid-19 has increased to 13,70,546 and 9,69,121, respectively.
