Special medical camp held by health department in a tribal village in Valparai


Coimbatore: There are about 12 tribal villages in the forest area around Valparai in Coimbatore district inhabited by over 2000 people.

More than 70 people from 30 families are farming and living in the forest area in the Vellimudi Settlement area near Valparai. At present the coronavirus infection is spreading all over the area and everyone is being treated by setting up a medical camp as a coronavirus prevention measure.



A medical team led by Dr. Babu Lakshmanan of Valparai Health Department Hospital in Vellimudi area went to Poonachi Settlement area under Vellimudi and tested the people there by taking mucus samples and then raised awareness about Covid-19.
