A total of 166 people test positive for Covid-19 in Pollachi and Anamalai areas

Health officials said that a 73 year old woman passed away due to Covid-19 in Pollachi.


Coimbatore: Covid-19 cases are spreading rapidly in Pollachi and its surrounding areas. Around 38 people were infected today in the Pollachi town area. In the North Zone, around 29 people were affected by Covid-19 and around 34 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Pollachi South Zone.

This made the total Covid-19 cases in 1 day reach 101 in Pollachi. Along with that, 65 new cases were recorded in Anamalai making the total number of Covid-19 cases reach 166 in Pollachi and its surrounding areas.

TamilNadu Government has announced a more serious lockdown as the Covid-19 cases did not go down in the previous curfew with limited restrictions. Health department officials and Revenue Officials in Pollachi have requested the people to be aware of the disease as it's increasing more in number on a daily basis.
