MLA Vanathi Srinivasan pens letter to CM MK Stalin regarding oxygen insufficiency in Coimbatore

The demand for oxygen supply has increased in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has sent a letter to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin requesting to increase the oxygen levels in Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu.

In this regard, Vanathi Srinivasan said: " TamilNadu has stopped receiving oxygen from Kerala. I learned that there was a delay in getting the oxygen production required for Tamil Nadu from Sterlite. The Government of Tamil Nadu should work on a wartime basis and any assistance required to produce oxygen at the Tuticorin Sterlite plant will receive support.

On behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Chief Minister should urge the Central Government to continue with the oxygen level now available from the Central Government for another ten days. Due to the immediate need for oxygen supply to the private hospitals in the Coimbatore area, the Government of Tamil Nadu has to increase the oxygen supply to the Coimbatore district.

Arrangements should be made to set up oxygen production centers at government hospitals in district capitals across Tamil Nadu. Oxygen production centers can be set up within a week. Thus, oxygen deficiency in Tamil Nadu will be avoided.

A request has been made to the Union Steel Minister to produce oxygen at the Salem Iron Plant which they have agreed to." Said Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP National President for Women's Wing.
