Statues masked to create awareness in Valparai urging the importance of wearing face masks

More than 70 people have been affected by the second wave of the Covid-19 outbreak in Valparai.


Coimbatore:

Valparai area in Coimbatore is filled with tea estates and has more than 50,000 labourers working in it. As a way of representing it, a real life statue resembling labourers plucking tea leaves and their supervisors near the Valparai Municipality office entrance.





Because of the second wave of Covid-19, more than 70 plus people are affected by the pandemic. Hence the officials are urging the public to wear face masks to avoid being infected.

To create awareness of wearing masks, the officials put on face masks to the statue that was newly created. This innovative demonstration has attracted the attention ofthe public.
