CMCH Doctors praised for delivering babies of 53 women affected by Covid-19 since March

Doctors praised 53 pregnant women with Covid-19 gave birth in two months.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Government Hospital has a special ward for Covid-19 infections with 1,045 beds, especially for women with Covid-19.

In the past two months, 53 pregnant women with Covid-19 have had successful deliveries. Dean Nirmala lauded the doctors and nurses who delivered the baby without fear of infection. She said "March saw three pregnant women delivering babies and in April it is upto 50 women. In the last two months, 73 pregnant women (53 deliveries) have been diagnosed with Covid-19 and returned home after treatment safely,”she said.
