Special Covid-19 treatment center at the Government Arts College in Udumalaipet

Udumalaipettai Government Arts College was turned into a Covid-19 ward with 100 bed space facility during the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic last year.


Tirupur: Udumalaipettai Government Arts College was turned into a Covid-19 ward with 100 bed space facility during the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic last year.

But the people who were affected were taken to the Tirupur Government Hospital, Udumalaipet Government Hospital and Coimbatore ESI Hospital for treatment. Because of this the special Covid-19 ward at Udumalaipet Government Hospital was not in use.



Since the Covid-19 cases have severely increased in Udumalaipet this year. The number of people getting treatment is higher, due to this the Udumalaipet Government Arts College will be used for treating Covid-19 patients from today.
