Increase in Covid-19 cases:18 areas announced as containment zones in Coimbatore

Patients who are infected with the virus are now receiving treatment at Coimbatore GH, ESI Hospitals, Private Hospitals and other Covid-19 centers in the district.


Coimbatore: Covid-19 affected areas in Coimbatore district are being monitored and are under the containment zone. In this aspect, the district administration officials have stated that the 18 areas in the district are being monitored at the containment zone and the spread is kept under control.

Covid-19 spread which was contained in Coimbatore is on the rise now recording upto 100 cases per day. In this 75 members are within the Corporation limits.

Patients who are infected with the virus are now receiving treatment at Coimbatore GH, ESI Hospitals, Private Hospitals and other Covid-19 centers in the district.

Meanwhile, Coimbatore Corporation Officials are taking serious steps to control the spread. A street is under intense control, if more than 3 Covid-19 cases. Those areas will be sanitized by the sanitation workers. Such infected areas are all monitored under the containment zone.

Our source at the district administration office stated that "Around 11 cases in the rural areas of Coimbatore and 7 areas within Coimbatore Corporation are under the containment zones.

These areas include Karamadai, Chettipalayam, Suleshwaranpatti, Kannampalayam, Neelambur, Somanur, Kallapalayam, Jothipuram, NGGO colony, Press Colony, Vada Madurai, Bank colony, Kothari road, Ranganathapuram 2nd street, Ishwarya Avenue, Thiruvasagam Street, Vinayaga garden and Viswanathapuram.

People who are eligible should get vaccinated and should follow all Covid-19 protocols to avoid this." He said.
