Few individuals in Coimbatore were reportedly admitted at private hospitals a couple of days back for Dengue treatment.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Officials have deployed around 1000 workers to destroy dengue mosquito worms and to take other precautionary measures to prevent Dengue spread in the city.

Coimbatore Corporation Officials have already ordered the sanitation workers to visit houses across the district to inspect, identify and destroy mosquito worms and clean up breeding grounds.
Under this order, 10 members were allocated per ward in Coimbatore Corporation which has a total of 100 wards. Hence around 1000 Corporation workers are involved in preventing the Dengue Spread in Coimbatore.
Our source at the District Corporation said that " These workers will visit houses across Coimbatore and inspect the drinking water tank and other places where water can be kept stagnant. Later the workers will also use the apt medicines in water. While coming across the houses of people who are already infected, a mass cleaning process will be undertaken upto 500 meters." He said
